Angela + Kevin- Calgary Wedding Photographer

The wedding of Angela and Kevin was like a reunion of all of the hairdressers of my life. We met Angela at Ca Va Bien Studio and Day Spa where she is an expert hair-stylist, her maid-of-honour Jenn used to cut my hair at Stylemakers Hair Design, and I’m slightly embarrassed to admit it but my wife, who was of course by my side all day, is currently the one in charge of my unwieldy mane.
Anyways, enough about me because we had a wonderful time being part of the wedding of Angela and Kevin. Two people who are very much in love with each other and with their families. The entire day was filled with beaming smiles, joyous laughter and the good kind of tears.
The day started off with the girls styling each others hair (you can imagine with the available talent that the hair was beautifully done at this wedding) and getting ready and with the guys admiring the unbelievable vintage car that Angela and Kevin were going to be driving around in. Kevin’s dad owns it and in order for it to be classified as vintage it can only be driven for a certain number of kilometres each year so the fact that he let it be used for the wedding is very special (and it certainly benefited us photographers- we were getting many jealous looks from other groups in the parking lot of Fish Creek Park.) The ceremony was held at The Salvation Army Church and then we headed to the aforementioned Fish Creek Park for some fun images. The reception was in the Braeside Community Centre and was catered by Salt and Pepper Mexican Restaurant- so delicious! There was a movie theme to the reception which is right up my alley so we had a great time.
Jaime and I consider Angela and Kevin to be great friends and we were blessed to be part of their day…
